ATTORNEY GENERAL MORRISEY ENDORSES SENATOR CAPITO

CHARLESTON, WV – The Capito for West Virginia campaign announced today that West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has endorsed U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito for reelection. Morrisey released the following statement to the campaign.

“I’m honored to stand with Senator Capito in her race for reelection in 2020. Shelley and I have worked together to roll back environmental regulations that were handed down under President Obama’s EPA. These regulations were harmful to our state’s ability to produce energy and grow our economy. I look forward to continuing to work with her to implement conservative policies that will move our state forward.”

“Attorney General Morrisey works tirelessly for our state and is a national leader fighting the EPA’s environmental overreach. I appreciate Patrick’s support of my campaign for reelection and look forward to campaigning with him next year,” said Senator Capito.

Capito has previously been endorsed by Ambassador Nikki Haley, Congressman David McKinley, Congressman Alex Mooney, Congresswoman Carol Miller, Auditor JB McCuskey and Agriculture Commissioner Kent Leonhardt. Last week the Republican members of the state legislature, led by Senate President Mitch Carmichael and Speaker Roger Hanshaw, offered their support to Capito’s reelection campaign. In addition, the Republican National Committee Members, Kayla Kessinger and Larry Pack, are backing Capito.
